The DS1 is the entry level home in the DeltaShelta range.It is a compact but spacious single roomed dwelling. It is designed for a home buyer who wants a home modelled after the architectural traditions of the Pacific and desire to invest in a cost-effective housing solution to withstand the environmental challenges of the Pacific.The downstairs area consists of a single living area.The DS 1 can be built directly onto a concrete slab with the inside height of the dwelling on a concrete floor being 3m. It can also be constructed on a concrete nib wall 3 or 4 blocks high providing a full 3.8m of inside height. The nib wall has the effect of creating a high cathedral type ceiling and dramatically increases the useable size inside the dwelling. This space could be used for storage or as a sleeping area. The construction of the loft will also increase the strength of the dwelling.
